PDP Primary: Hon. Adejoke Adekanmbi–Akinseye Appreciates Party Leadership, Stakeholders, Accepts Ibadan Northeast/Southeast Mandate as PDP Flagbearer

Hon. (Dr.) Adejoke Adekanmbi–Akinseye has expressed profound appreciation to the leadership, stakeholders, delegates, and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following her emergence as the party’s candidate for the Ibadan Northeast/Southeast Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued on Monday, Dr. Adekanmbi–Akinseye described her emergence as a reflection of the party’s commitment to unity, internal democracy, and inclusive leadership.
“I sincerely appreciate the respected leaders, executives, delegates, and faithful members of our great party, the PDP, for the confidence reposed in me,” she stated. “The transparent and peaceful process that produced this outcome further strengthens the credibility and unity of our party.”

Dr. Adekanmbi–Akinseye noted that the support and encouragement received from party leaders, women groups, youths, and grassroots mobilisers across Ibadan Northeast and Southeast remain a strong motivation toward purposeful representation and people-oriented service.
She also formally accepted the party’s mandate with a commitment to carry every stakeholder along while promoting peace, development, and progressive ideals throughout the constituency.

“I accept this responsibility with humility, gratitude, and a deep sense of duty to the people,” she added. “This victory belongs to every loyal party member and every resident who believes in competent, inclusive, and responsive representation. Together, we shall work for a stronger PDP and a better future for our constituency.”

The statement further called on all party members and supporters to remain united and committed as the party prepares for victory in the 2027 general elections.
