OYO 2027: BASA CONDEMNS HORRIFIC BEHEADING OF OYO TEACHER, COMMISERATES WITH FAMILIES AND INJURED SECURITY PERSONNEL
The Leading Oyo South Senatorial hopeful, Honourable Bolanle Aminat Sarumi-Aliyu (BASA), has expressed profound shock and utter devastation at the sickening news of the brutal beheading of Mr. Michael Oyedokun, a dedicated teacher at Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele, in the Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State, by ruthless bandits.
In a statement issued today by her Special Assistant on Media and Strategy, Seye Akanmu, Hon. Sarumi-Aliyu described the barbaric killing as an unconscionable assault on the peace-loving people of Oyo State and a devastating blow to the state’s education sector.
“The murder of Mr. Michael Oyedokun is a horrific tragedy that defies humanity,” BASA stated. “My deepest, most heartfelt commiserations go out to the family of the deceased, the students and staff of Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele, and the Oyo State Government led by Governor Seyi Makinde. We stand with you in this moment of unimaginable grief.”
BASA strongly admonished all relevant security agencies to be relentless, uncompromising, and swift in their pursuit of these terrorists. She emphasized that the perpetrators of this heinous crime must be hunted down and brought to justice to ensure that Mr. Oyedokun’s sacrifice is not in vain and to restore absolute safety to the affected communities.
In the same vein, BASA expressed deep empathy and solidarity with the brave security agents who sustained injuries during a fierce shootout with the terrorists. The officers were ambushed while courageously putting their lives on the line to rescue the abducted victims.
BASA highly commended their gallantry, honored their ultimate sacrifice for the state, and fervently prayed for their swift and complete recovery. She urged the government and citizens alike to continue providing total support to the security forces as they battle to rid Oyo State of these criminal elements.
