Stakeholders in Ibadan North-East on Sunday congratulated Hon. Adejoke Adekanmbi-Akinseye on her emergence as the Peoples Democratic Party candidate for the Ibadan North-East/South-East Federal Rep seat.

In a statement, the group said Adekanmbi-Akinseye’s victory in the May 17, 2026 primary reflected broad support across the constituency and resulted from sustained grassroots engagement.
Com. Abdulahi Akinola, chairman of the Ibadan North-East stakeholders’ group, and Secretary Mrs. Elizabeth Adetola commended PDP leaders at the state and national levels for conducting a transparent and orderly primary. They said the process strengthened confidence in the party’s internal democratic structures and thanked the party for its consistency and commitment to due process.
The stakeholders urged party members to unite behind the candidate ahead of the 2027 general election, noting that coordinated efforts would be essential to retaining the seat for the PDP.

Adekanmbi-Akinseye won all 24 wards in the constituency during the primary. She said her campaign would focus on youth empowerment, education, and infrastructure development.
