The Oyo State Chapter of the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC) has announced the indefinite suspension of its Akinyele Local Government Coordinator, Mr. Ibrahim Oladipupo Ajuwon, over alleged violations of the organisation’s constitution.
The decision was contained in a press statement issued by the organisation and signed by the Oyo State Chairman of the Nigerian Youth Congress, Comrade Adeyemi Abdulfatai Olagbenro (LEGACY).

According to the statement, the suspension followed allegations that Ajuwon acted contrary to the provisions of the Congress’s constitution and allegedly misrepresented certain aspects of the organisation’s constitutional provisions.
The NYC leadership further stated that the alleged conduct was not an isolated incident, noting that the suspended coordinator had previously been accused of acting contrary to the rules and directives of the Congress.
The statement also alleged that Ajuwon had not effectively maintained or developed the NYC structure in Akinyele Local Government in line with the expectations of the organisation since his appointment.
Consequently, the Oyo State Chapter declared his suspension indefinite, pending further decisions by the appropriate authorities of the Congress.

In the same statement, the NYC Oyo State leadership announced the appointment of Comrade Ajibola Olaniyi Toheeb as the new Coordinator of the Nigerian Youth Congress in Akinyele Local Government.
The appointment takes immediate effect, with Toheeb expected to assume responsibility for coordinating the activities and strengthening the organisational structure of the Congress across the local government.
The development marks a change in the leadership of the NYC structure in Akinyele Local Government as the organisation moves to reposition its activities and administration in the area.
