A frontline youth of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State, Hon. Aare Alao Olalekan, has congratulated the party’s consensus Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates who emerged across various Local Government Areas in Oyo State ahead of the forthcoming local government election.
In a congratulatory statement issued on Thursday, Aare applauded the leadership of the party for adopting the consensus arrangement, describing it as a strategic decision that has further strengthened the unity, cohesion, and stability of the APM. According to him, the peaceful emergence of the candidates reflects the party’s commitment to internal democracy, inclusiveness, and collective progress.
The congratulatory message was extended to Dr. Temitope Kolapo (GLORIOUS), consensus Chairmanship candidate for Ona-Ara Local Government; Seun Olufade (Ibadan North); Mudashir Kamorudeen (Lagelu); Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo (SIMPLE) (Egbeda); Hon. Wole Akinleye (Akinyele); Hon. Olaide “Settle” (Oluyole); and Hon. Ganiyu Omotosho (Ibadan North West). He also congratulated Hon. Hassan Bello, the consensus Vice Chairmanship candidate for Ibadan South West Local Government, and Hon. Saheed Adebayo, the consensus Vice Chairmanship candidate for Oyo West Local Government.
Aare expressed confidence in the ability of the candidates to provide visionary, accountable, and people-oriented leadership, urging them to remain committed to the ideals of humility, transparency, and selfless service. He noted that their emergence comes with enormous responsibility to justify the confidence reposed in them by the party and the people through effective grassroots governance and inclusive leadership.
He further called on party leaders, members, and supporters across Oyo State to embrace peace, remain united, and work collectively towards securing victory for all APM candidates in the forthcoming local government election. Aare expressed confidence that the consensus arrangement would further strengthen the party ahead of future elections, adding that once the APM Governorship Candidate, Chief Bimbo Adekanmbi, is elected Governor of Oyo State in 2027, every loyal and committed party faithful will enjoy the dividends of democracy. He therefore urged members to shun division, sustain the existing unity within the party, and remain focused on the collective goal of building a stronger APM capable of delivering good governance to the people of Oyo State.
