The political atmosphere in Ona-Ara Local Government came alive on Thursday as the incumbent Vice Chairman, Hon. Oluwole Windapo (STAINLESS), officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Chairman under the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) ahead of the forthcoming local government election in Oyo State.
The declaration ceremony attracted party leaders, political stakeholders, community representatives, youth groups, women leaders, and supporters from across the local government, reflecting the aspirant’s strong grassroots appeal and growing political influence.

Popularly known as STAINLESS, Hon. Windapo is widely regarded as a seasoned grassroots politician, mobiliser, and philanthropist. A loyal supporter of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for over a decade, he has remained actively involved in the political evolution of Oyo State, moving through the PDP, SDP, returning to the PDP, and now the APM. His political experience includes serving as Secretary of Ona-Ara Local Government before becoming the current Vice Chairman of the council.
