The governorship candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) in Oyo State, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, has unveiled Engr. Muftau Ope Salawu as his deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 general election.

Adekanmbi made the announcement on Wednesday at the Peoples Democratic Party Secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan, where party members, supporters and political associates gathered for the event.
Speaking during the unveiling, the APM governorship candidate described Salawu as a man of substance whose wealth of experience and competence have distinguished him in various spheres of endeavour. He expressed confidence that the combination would provide the leadership needed to sustain the state’s development trajectory.

Adekanmbi also unveiled his campaign mantra, tagged “3.0 Continued Development,” saying the agenda is designed to build on existing achievements and accelerate growth across key sectors of the state’s economy.

He called on party members and residents of Oyo State to support the APM’s vision for the state, stressing that collective commitment would be crucial to ensuring continuity of development and improved welfare for the people ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
