Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, has joined the protest against bad governance, hunger and economic hardship.
A video circulating online shows Obi addressing the protesters, urging them to remain peaceful.
Recall that the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate had expressed his support for the protest, stating that the Nigerian Constitution guarantees the right to peaceful demonstrations.

He cautioned against any form of violence, stressing that protests should be conducted within the legal framework.

Obi pointed to hunger and a sense of hopelessness among the youth as driving factors behind the demonstrations.
He called on Nigerian authorities to engage with the protesters and listen to their grievances to find constructive solutions.
