Ona-Ara Man Cries Out On Live TV Over WAEC Fees, Bimbo Adekanmbi Rescues Child As Constituents Reject Akin Alabi’s Third Term For Failure

A constituent from Ona-Ara broke down in tears on live television on Saturday during Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi’s interview on Gbagede Oselu, BCOS, Ile-Akede, Bashorun, Ibadan, over his inability to pay his child’s WAEC registration fees and lack of support as a person living with disability.
The man, who called in from Ona-Ara, lamented that all efforts to meet their Federal Representative, Hon. Akin Alabi, representing Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, proved abortive.

Moved by his plight, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, a bona fide son of Ona-Ara who is the APM Governorship Candidate in 2027 immediately pledged to sponsor the child’s WAEC fees, provide financial support for preparatory lessons, and sponsor his university education at any institution of his choice if he performs well.
The incident has triggered outrage across Egbeda/Ona-Ara, with constituents totally rejecting Hon. Akin Alabi’s third term ambition, describing him as a total failure and an audio representative.
Residents and APC members in the constituency said it is shameful that a mother will be crying on national television over WAEC fees while her representative is busy wearing agbada to attend owambes across the country.

They accused Akin Alabi of being an underperforming honourable, part of the saboteurs from Oyo State who denigrated Osun APC and its candidate, while failing to support APC and its candidate, Sarafadeen Alli, in Oyo State.
They noted that due to his nonchalant and careless attitude, Akin Alabi has already lost many APC votes to the APM in Ona-Ara and does not deserve a third term.

They commended Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi of the APM for listening and responding to the needs of Ona-Ara people where Akin Alabi failed.
