The Supervisory Councillor for Transport in Ona-Ara Local Government, Hon. Olalere Abolore Sekinat, has officially declared her intention to contest for the position of Vice Chairman of Ona-Ara Local Government under the platform of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), receiving a rousing welcome from party stakeholders, ward leaders, members, and supporters.
The declaration ceremony, held at the APM Ona-Ara Local Government Party Office, Olunloyo, Amuloko Road, Ibadan, attracted a large turnout of party faithful and grassroots mobilisers. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as stakeholders and supporters expressed confidence in Hon. Abolore’s leadership qualities and grassroots credentials ahead of the forthcoming local government election.
Speaking at the event, the APM Chairman in Ona-Ara Local Government, Alfa Kehinde Adeyemo, described Hon. Abolore as a committed, responsible, and loyal party member whose dedication to the party has remained unwavering over the years. He noted that her aspiration reflects consistency and perseverance, adding that this is not the first time she has sought to serve the people through elective office.
Adeyemo also applauded the vice chairmanship hopeful for her outstanding humanitarian contributions, citing her provision of boreholes to communities, financial support for widows, and assistance to the less privileged across Ona-Ara Local Government. According to him, these selfless interventions have earned her widespread admiration and demonstrated her passion for community development.
In her address, Hon. Olalere Abolore Sekinat thanked the party leadership, stakeholders, ward leaders, members, and supporters for the warm reception and overwhelming show of confidence. She pledged to deliver the dividends of democracy if elected, promising inclusive leadership, people-oriented governance, and accelerated grassroots development.
