2023 PDP Aspirants Across Oyo State Endorse Barr. Hazeem Gbolarumi, Declare Unwavering Support Ahead of 2027 Gubernatorial Race

The Forum of 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Aspirants from all 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State has unanimously endorsed Barr. Hazeem Gbolarumi’s governorship ambition for 2027, reaffirming its unwavering loyalty to the party.
Speaking for the forum, State Coordinator Hon. Hammed Taoreed Ademola (a.k.a. Lucky) recalled that Governor Seyi Makinde had appealed to the aspirants to step down from the 2023 primaries, promising that their sacrifices—including the purchase of nomination forms—would be rewarded with appointments and other benefits after the elections.
The forum noted that, despite their compliance, those assurances were not fulfilled. They pursued redress through formal letters, stakeholder consultations, and an appeal to Chief Olabode George in Lagos, yet no satisfactory outcome was achieved.
State Secretary Hon. Afees Olanrewaju Basorun (a.k.a. Hon. Afeesco) confirmed that all internal party channels were exhausted and that their concerns were duly conveyed to Governor Makinde through appropriate leaders.

Nevertheless, the aspirants stressed their continued commitment to the PDP and have resolved to rally behind Barr. Hazeem Gbolarumi, calling on all leaders, stakeholders, and loyal members to unite under his leadership for a stronger, more inclusive party ahead of 2027.
