Ahead of the 2023 general elections scheduled to hold on 25th of February, Ilora township Carpenters Association, Oyo East traditional council, Oke-Isanmi community and National Association of Patent and Proprietary Medicines (NAPPMED) Ilora chapter, has vowed to massively support and vote for Oyo Central Senatorial candidate of People’s Democratic Party, Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka and other candidates of his Party.
In his remarks, the Chairman Carpenters association, Ilora, Hon. Olayiwola Folorunsho, noted that; “We won’t fall for APC fake agenda anymore, their 8years of administration has drawn us back, its high time we pitch our tent with the Party that caters for total welfare of the people, and PDP is the Party, Oloye Bisi Ilaka is a son of the soil, a philanthropist by all ramification and advocate of good governance”
While affirming their support for the Senatorial aspiration of Ilaka, he solicited for the help of the state government to look into the deplorable state of local roads, street lights among other needs. He assured that they will votes massively across the polling units, and wards across Oyo Federal Constituency.
Speaking further Hon. Folorunsho said “The borehole you gave us over 20years ago is still working and serving our people, water is life, we’ll reciprocate the gesture our votes”.
He nominated Hon Odekunle Odeniyi, as their representative, to be included into Bisi Ilaka campaign committee.
Also, speaking on behalf of the Oyo East local government traditional council, Baba Oloye Kieseni Lateef Bushari, stated that Ilaka is their own, a vote and support for him would guarantee a sense of belonging, respect and improved welfare for not just his members, but for residents of Oyo Central senatorial district as well.
We are focus on result and how to win Oyo federal constituency bloc votes for our own Bisi Ilaka while assuring that he will deliver his electoral promises to all zones in Oyo Central.
In his speech, the community leader, Onigbongbo community, Oke-Isanmi, Ilora, Alhaji Alarape Muftau Ajala, said that Onigbongbo community is ready to canvass and mobilise votes and ensure all round victory for the Ladilu of Oyo kingdom and all PDP candidates. He further used the medium to solicits for help with the roads in their community, motorized borehole, so as to enhance dividend of democracy and put an end to their suffering.
While appreciating the people for finding him worthy to support, the Oyo born lawyer turned politician, Chief Bisi Ilaka described them as a unique, foresighted and resourceful people
He promised to run an all-inclusive and people-centered representation, where every constituents, irrespective of tribe and religion is carried along in the developmental journey of Oyo Central and the State at large.
He assured them of first class and proper representation at the Red Chamber.
With Ilaka at the meeting are ; Afijio state House of Assembly candidate, Hon. Deji Oparinde, Afijio LG chairman, Hon Sunday Akindele Ojo, Hon. James Olukunle (Deputy chairman Oyo state PDP, Hon Derinola Adedeji Afijio PDP chair, DG Ilaka Campaign Hon Oladejo Success, Oyo west PDP party chairman, Alh Sarafa Oloyo , Hon Wahab Waliu Adetunji (WABKEM), Rt Hon Wale Atilola, Alh Jelli Adedeji, Alhaji Isiaka Adebayo, Baba R.O Atanda, Mrs. Alh. Bili Ishola, Oyo central women leader, Mrs. Rofiyat Onilenla.
Others are; Chief Jagun Akinade, former Secretary Afijio LG, LGEA secretaty Oyo east LG, Afijio Youth leaders and party secretary Hon Sakiru Ojo, and all Ilaka campaign coordinators.
