…Describes Appointments as Round Peg in Round Hole, Lauds Governor’s Reward for Loyalty and Competence
The leadership and entire members of the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), Ogbomoso Zone, have congratulated Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, popularly known as Wolekanle, on his appointment as the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Oyo State and Mrs. Aderonke Adedayo as the Director-General of the Due Process Office.
The congratulatory message was contained in a press statement signed by Hon. Comrade Ayodele David A. on behalf of the Ogbomoso Zonal Chapter and made available to newsmen in Ogbomoso on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the Zone received the news of the appointments, as approved by His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, with great excitement and a deep sense of fulfilment.
The NYC described the appointment of Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, a seasoned grassroots politician and former Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, as a round peg in a round hole, noting that his proven track record in grassroots mobilization, loyalty and commitment to the Omituntun ideology makes him exceptionally fit for the exalted office.
In the same vein, the Congress celebrated the appointment of Mrs. Aderonke Adedayo, who will combine her new role as DG, Due Process Office, with her current portfolio as Special Adviser on General Intervention and Donor Agencies, as a well-deserved recognition of competence, diligence and result-oriented service delivery.
The statement reads in part: “We in Ogbomoso Zone, in total alignment with the State leadership of the Nigerian Youth Congress, see these appointments as a further demonstration of Governor Seyi Makinde’s unwavering commitment to rewarding loyalty, experience and capacity, especially among those who understand the yearnings of the youth and the grassroots.”
The NYC Ogbomoso Zone expressed profound appreciation to His Excellency for his wisdom in making the choices and pledged its continued loyalty and support for the Omituntun 2.0 administration.
The group wished the appointees a successful, impactful and people-oriented tenure in service to Oyo State.
