Hon. Wale Ajala, the Consensus Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Ona-Ara State Constituency, has officially defected to the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) ahead of the 2027 general election.
Hon. Ajala formally joined the APM on Friday May 8, 2026, reaffirming his determination and commitment to remain in the race to represent the people of Ona-Ara State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly in 2027.
Speaking after his defection, Hon. Wale Ajala assured his supporters and residents of Ona-Ara that his decision was driven by the desire to sustain purposeful leadership, fairness, and quality representation for the constituency.
Recall that Hon. Wale Ajala emerged as the consensus candidate of party leaders within the PDP in Ona-Ara Local Government before his exit from the party.
