Oyo Pacesetter Transport Services Settles Outstanding Gratuities for Retirees and Disengaged Staff

The Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Services (PTS) on Wednesday April 15, 2026 officially issued cheques to former staff and retirees for the settlement of long-standing gratuity arrears. The ceremony, held inside the company’s Board Room at Eleyele, Ibadan, marks a key milestone under the Past Gratuity Clearance Plan (1994–2025). Hon. Dr. Ibraheem Salami, Chairman and Sole Administrator, fulfilled his commitment to the 23 staff members who were disengaged following the Staff Audit Committee (SAC) exercise in July 2025. Immediately after the SAC exercise, the affected staff had already received 50% of their gratuities plus three months’ salary in lieu of notice, in line with company policy.

Under the current clearance exercise, approved funds were distributed as follows: full settlement of the remaining 50% gratuity balance for four of the disengaged staff (excluding those with ongoing court cases); 50% payment of gratuities owed to retirees from 2019; and a partial settlement of gratuities for retirees from the 2021–2025 period. The exercise ensures that no eligible beneficiary is left out while respecting legal constraints.

Beneficiaries received the news with visible relief and commended the Chairman and Sole Administrator for keeping the administration’s promises. For further enquiries or clarification, the public is encouraged to contact Oyo Pacesetter Transport Services via the official email: info@oyopts.com.ng.
