Speaking during the commissioning, Speaker Ogundoyin noted that the project aligns with Governor Seyi Makinde’s commitment to strengthening the state’s security architecture through the Amotekun Corps and other strategic initiatives.

“It was a great privilege for me, as Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, to commission this Amotekun office and present letters of engagement to the newly appointed aides. These milestones reflect our collective commitment to supporting the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde in ensuring improved security and effective grassroots governance across Oyo State,” he said.

Ogundoyin explained that the newly commissioned office will serve as a strategic security hub for residents of Monatan, Ogo-Oluwa, Irepodun, Jonku, Elewi-Odo, Gbena, Kajola, and Oba-Odugade communities, bringing security operations closer to the people and enhancing response to safety concerns.

The State Commandant of the Amotekun Corps, Col. Olayinka Olayanju (Rtd), also appreciated Hon. AKT for the initiative, noting that the facility will improve the operational capacity of Amotekun personnel in the area and further support the state government’s efforts at safeguarding lives and property.

In his remarks, Hon. Olajide Akintunde Emmanuel (AKT) expressed appreciation to all critical stakeholders and dignitaries who graced the event. He reaffirmed his commitment to complementing the security vision of Governor Seyi Makinde while continuing to initiate projects that will enhance the safety and wellbeing of residents in Lagelu Constituency.
