The 2nd Annual Ojuawo Ramadan Lecture witnessed a remarkable gathering of political stalwarts, esteemed religious leaders, and faithful Muslims on Wednesday, as they converged at IDC Primary School, Olunloyo, in Ona-Ara Local Government Area, Egalitarian Voice reports.

The event, hosted by the Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Muhammed Abiodun Fadeyi, served as a platform for spiritual reflection and community engagement during the holy month.
Leading the distinguished lineup of dignitaries was the Secretary to the Oyo State Government (SSG), Prof. Musibau Adelabu. His presence underscored the administration’s recognition of the lecture’s significance in fostering moral values and social cohesion within the community.

Delivering the keynote address, the renowned guest lecturer, Alhaji Ismaheel Adekunle Gbamolada, captivated the audience with a profound discourse titled “Ramadan and Social Responsibilities / Caring for the Needy.” In his lecture, Alhaji Gbamolada emphasized the intrinsic link between the spiritual benefits of fasting and the practical duty of Muslims to show compassion, urging the faithful to use the season as a catalyst for charitable deeds and community support.

The event, marked by an atmosphere of piety and communal harmony, was well-attended by a cross-section of religious leaders and Muslim faithfuls from across the constituency and beyond.
