NIGERIAN YOUTH CONGRESS SIGNS ₦1 BILLION STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH NEHEMIAH FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL TO EMPOWER 10,000 YOUTH

The Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), under the leadership of its President, Engr. Annum Jethro Terhile, has successfully signed a landmark Strategic Partnership / Consultancy Agreement with Nehemiah Foundation International (NFI), formally launching a ₦1 Billion, 3-Year National Youth Transformation Programme.
The Presidential Signing Ceremony, held in Abuja, marked a significant step toward structured, large-scale youth empowerment and sustainable national development.
The partnership aims to empower 10,000 youth and women across Nigeria through targeted interventions in:
Agribusiness development
ICT innovation and digital skills
Metal and technical skills training
Entrepreneurship development
Cooperative enterprise systems
Climate resilience and good governance advocacy
Speaking at the ceremony, Engr. Annum Jethro Terhile, President of the Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), described the agreement as “a transformative collaboration that moves youth empowerment from promise to practical implementation.” He emphasized that the initiative will focus on job creation, skills acquisition, and cooperative-driven economic participation to ensure long-term impact.
The agreement establishes strong governance and accountability mechanisms, including joint project monitoring, independent audits, transparent reporting structures, and compliance with international best practices.
Nehemiah Foundation International will provide strategic technical support, donor engagement, and implementation expertise, while NYC will leverage its nationwide structure across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to ensure broad and inclusive participation.
This initiative is expected to enhance agricultural productivity, strengthen digital workforce readiness, promote entrepreneurship, and foster sustainable livelihoods for thousands of Nigerian youths.
The signing of this agreement signals a renewed commitment by the Nigerian Youth Congress, under the leadership of Engr. Annum Jethro Terhile, to position Nigerian youth as active drivers of economic growth and national transformation.
