The Honourable Supervisor Councillor on Special Duties to the Ona-Ara Local Government Chairman, Hon. Jamiu Aderemi Taofeek, has firmly dismissed rumours suggesting any form of political realignment on his part.

Hon. Taofeek reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the administration of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, stressing that he remains fully aligned with the party’s leadership at both state and local levels.
He made this declaration today at the ongoing Ona-Ara PDP General Meeting, holding at Elekuro High School, Ibadan.
The Supervisor Councillor also emphasized his total cooperation with the Ona-Ara Local Government Chairman, Dr. Kolapo Temitope (Glorious), noting that the local administration remains united and committed to effective grassroots governance.
Speaking further, Hon. Taofeek praised the performance of the Oyo State Government, noting that Governor Makinde’s leadership has delivered tangible results across the state.
“With my experience in politics, I can confidently say that Governor Makinde’s administration is doing wonderfully well, and the people are happy,” he said.
“I am an independent man and no one dictates my political direction. Against all odds, I stand firmly with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde.”
He described the rumours as baseless and misleading, urging party members and the general public to disregard them, while assuring stakeholders of his continued commitment to the ideals, programmes, and progressive vision of the PDP-led government in Oyo State.
