A strategic stakeholders’ meeting was convened by the Oyo State Youth Leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Alhaji Amubikanhun Akorede, at Blue Roof Hotel, bringing together members of the African Democratic Youth Congress (ADYC) under the leadership of the Oyo State Coordinator, Hon. Adesina Temitope.
Addressing participants, Alhaji Akorede reaffirmed the commitment of the ADC leadership in Oyo State to strict adherence to the party’s constitution, rules, and guidelines in the selection of candidates across all levels. He emphasized that transparency, fairness, and teamwork remain the core values guiding the party’s internal processes.
He further stated that the ADC in Oyo State is strategically prepared and well-positioned to succeed the current government in the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence in the party’s growing structure and grassroots appeal.
In his remarks, Hon. Adesina Temitope highlighted the critical role of youths and women in political participation, describing them as key drivers of democratic growth and sustainable development. He called for the emergence of credible, capable, and people-oriented candidates who possess the capacity to deliver good governance and secure a better future for the people of Oyo State.
The meeting ended with a collective resolve to strengthen unity, promote teamwork, and sustain the active engagement of youths and women in the political process as the ADC intensifies efforts toward electoral success in 2027.
