As part of ongoing efforts towards bolstering community security at the grassroots, the Honorable member representing Lagelu State Constituency in the house of assembly, Hon Olajide Akintunde politically called (AKT), has laid the foundation for the construction of Amotekun office in Lagelu Local government Area.
The foundation laying took on Wednesday, September 24th at ward 5 party house, Monatan/Seven-Up area.
According to the Lawmaker, the establishment of the Amotekun office is targeted at enhancing local security in order to promote community policing, and deepening of collaboration between grassroots residents and security personnel.
The foundation-laying event drew a host of notable community leaders and stakeholders, including the Baale of Gbena; Chief Dosu, Overall Chairman of Ogo-Oluwa community; Elder Akinpelu, Oyo State bakers Baale; Chief Ogunmodede.
Speaking at the event, Chief Dosu, Elder Kenfab and Evangelist Sunday Ayobami gold in their different remark commended Hon Olajide Akintunde AKT for his vision which they noted aligns with his vision for the safety of lives and properties of all grassroots dwellers.
They emphasized the importance of community-driven development and assured the Lawmaker of their continued strategic collaborations with People’s Democratic Party, private partners and governments at all levels to develop Lagelu LG.
“Security is everyone’s business, and it is heartwarming to see a public office holder taking proactive steps to protect their communities,” they said.
On the same vein, Hon Olajide Akintunde AKT released numbers of solar street light as requested earlier by some community leaders to compliment the Amotekun office so as to expose miscreants hideout in their communities.

Present at the foundation laying event were the Elder Kehinde Fabunmi KENFAB, Evangelist Sunday Ayobami Gold, Hon Aduragbemi Idogbe, Otunba Olusegun Bioku (Double Six), Mr Olanrewaju Kamorudeen,AKT Youth Vanguard, AKT Women wing among other PDP Chieftains.
