Hon. (Mrs) Bolanle Aminat Sarumi, popularly known as BASA, has been honored with the 2024 International Humanity Service Award by the Southern Coalitions of Civil Societies & Pro-Democracy Activists (SOCCISA). The award was presented to her on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at the NUJ Press Center in Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State, as part of the World Human Rights Day celebrations.
Comrade Osuolale Babatunde Francis, BASA’s coordinator in Ona-Ara Local Government, and others represented her at the event. Comrade Osuolale congratulated BASA on the award, encouraging her to continue making a positive impact on people’s lives. He expressed confidence in her candidacy for the 2027 Oyo State governorship election, stating that BASA is the people’s choice.
