The story of Ona Ara LG council along Congratulations axis,with its headquarters at Akanran, a location once beleaguered by poor road networks and absence of electricity for well over a decade , is today a new narratives , courtesy of the accelerated transformation brought about by Ilaji Groups .

The completion of the rehabilitation of the road which covers many villages Dagbolu, Araromi down to Ijebu Igbo boundary by Dotun Sanusi, an engineer and owner of Ilaji Resorts and Ilaji Farms, are parts of the infrastructural provision that changed the fortunes of the ancient town
From the entrance of Ilaji Farms, one can now get to the border of Ibadan/Ogun State in Ijebu Igbo in less than 30 minutes.
It would be recalled that since Sanusi started turning around the area, prices of land has not only gone up, many houses have continued to spring up. To make light reach the people there, Sanusi had bought about 200 electric poles. similarly provided transformers to several communities.
Only few years ago, in the administration of ‘Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State, he collaborated with the Oyo State Road Maintenance Agency to rehabilitate the 18 kilometers Olorunsogo-Akanran road. This was apart of the many palliative works he has done to alternative road .
It was Engineer Dotun Sanusi that completed the rehabilitation of roads in the area. Olorunsogbo, Tioya round Monsifala To Abaomide, all in Ona-Ara local government, when, after close to two years of hardship, he ultimately put smiles on the faces of the residents and motorists plying the routes.
Like an oasis in the middle of the desert, the establishment of Ilaji Group which comprises of Ilaji Farms and its sister company, Ilaji Stadium and Resorts Center, established at Oloyo Village in 2012 and 2016 respectively have changed the narratives Ilaji arms, a multi-billion naira Agribusiness initially started as a vegetable farm and has metamorphosed into a full scale poultry farm.
The management of the farm has also taken a dive into other aspects of animal husbandry which include; fish farming, cow farming, pig and snail farming business. The farms, sits on about 60 acres of land, and today is the major supplier of poultry eggs to the wholesalers and Retailers of eggs in Akanran town and its environs. Besides the poultry business, Ilaji Farms also has a standard feed mill; the feed mill has been a reliable market for the maize farmers in the council.
The mill has in addition been a source of blessings to maize farmers in the council as it consumes millions of naira worth of maize consistently on monthly basis for its feed production.
Not less that 50 people have been on the farms’ payroll receiving hundreds of millions the transport system of the workers to and fro the farms on daily basis have given boost to economic activities ,
musicians today do not limit their live performances to the cosmopolitan city of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, they have unconsciously risen to taking their performances to the ‘natural habitation of Ilaji for live performances.
Ilaji Farms, through its products and activities, nurtures and creates avenues for commercial activities for the populace in the council, its sister company, Ilaji Stadium and Resort Center, a multi-billion naira sporting and hospitality outfit, takes care of the entertainment, recreation and hospitality aspects.
Sporting activities were camped inside the Akanran based Resorts Center. Many have worked simultaneously in different departments.
There were some times when well over 150 workers have earned their means of likelihood from the multi million establishment.One can say hundreds of millions of naira have been paid category of workers who are mostly from Akanran and its environs.

normalcy has now pervaded the atmosphere in Akanran town and its environs as the youths who were hitherto unemployed have been occupied with one function or the other.
