The Ona Ara Youth Stakeholders recently convened to discuss strategies for collaborative efforts in advancing the development of our local government area. Led by the Coordinator of Ona Ara Emergency Alert, Comrade Alawode Rahmon Akintunde (Asoju-Odo), and Chairman of the Yoruba Council of Youth Worldwide (YCYW) Oyo State Council, the meeting was marked by constructive dialogue and proactive engagement.
Among the notable attendees were the Emeritus Coordinators of the Association of Registered Social Youth Clubs and Ona Ara Students Union, Comrade Usman Badah and Comrade Oluwemimo Solomon Confidence. The gathering provided a platform for fruitful discussions on key issues affecting the youth and the overall development agenda for Ona Ara.

In his address, Asoju-Odo Alawode Rahmon extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected Local Government Chairman, Dr. Temitope GLORIOUS called for Youth inclusivity in the forthcoming Local Government administration, he concluded by offered prayers for a successful tenure of Dr. Temitope Kolapo GLORIOUS’.
Dr. Kolapo Temitope GLORIOUS expressed gratitude to the youth populace of Ona Ara for their unwavering support before, during, and after the elections held on the 28th of April, 2024.
Responding to calls from various stakeholders, including Comrade Akinbola Abeeb of ARSOYOC and Comrade Oluwemimo Solomon Confidence of Ona Ara Students Union, there were strong appeals for youth and student inclusivity in the forthcoming administration under Dr. GLORIOUS’ leadership.
Representing the ARTISANS of Ona Ara, Comrade Mutiu emphasized the importance of recognizing and supporting the artisan community in the government’s agenda for local development.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all parties to work collaboratively towards the advancement and prosperity of Ona Ara. Dr. GLORIOUS assured the stakeholders of his commitment to inclusive governance and pledged to prioritize the welfare and empowerment of youth, students, and artisans in his administration.
