YOUTH REBIRTH MOVEMENT TAKES GRASSROOTS MOBILISATION TO EGBEDA, REAFFIRMS SUPPORT FOR APM

The Youth Rebirth Movement has taken another significant step in its grassroots engagement across Oyo State, with its leadership, coordinators and members visiting Egbeda Local Government Area as part of its ongoing mobilisation activities.
The team paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo “Simple,” APM Chairmanship Candidate for Egbeda Local Government, where both sides engaged on youth participation, grassroots development, community engagement and the importance of building stronger connections with the people.

The meeting brought together movement leaders and coordinators representing different wards within the local government, creating an opportunity for introductions, interaction and strategic engagement.
A STRONGER CONNECTION WITH THE GRASSROOTS
For the Youth Rebirth Movement, the Egbeda visit was more than a courtesy call.
It was an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between youth leadership and the grassroots, while taking the movement’s activities closer to the people.
The engagement also featured a presentation from the leadership of the Youth Rebirth Movement, further reflecting the movement’s commitment to structured grassroots engagement and coordinated activities across communities.
While details of some of the engagements remain within the movement, the visit marked an important step in the group’s expanding grassroots activities.
FROM THE MEETING ROOM TO THE STREETS
Following the meeting, members of the Youth Rebirth Movement took their engagement beyond the meeting venue and into communities across Egbeda.
The team visited areas including Olodo, Adigbai, Lokogba, Yano Church and surrounding communities, interacting with residents, traders, young people and other members of the public.
The approach was simple: go to the people, engage with the people and build from the grassroots.
Rather than limiting its activities to meetings and formal gatherings, the movement continues to place direct community engagement at the centre of its operations.
BUILDING FROM WHERE POLITICS BEGINS
The Egbeda exercise reinforces one of the core principles behind the Youth Rebirth Movement: meaningful political participation begins at the grassroots.
The movement’s coordinators and members are increasingly taking their activities into neighbourhoods and communities, creating direct channels of engagement and strengthening its presence across different parts of Oyo State.
The Egbeda engagement is therefore not being viewed simply as a single-day activity, but as part of a broader grassroots structure being developed by the movement.
And as the movement continues to expand its activities, more communities are expected to experience its presence.
