What Happened in Oyo? PDP Leaves Egbeda/Ona-Ara Ticket Undecided After Crucial Meeting

There is growing suspense and heightened anticipation among party faithful and residents of Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency following the inability of leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State to reach a final decision on the party’s candidate.

The development occurred during the ongoing high-level stakeholders’ meeting of the Oyo Central Senatorial District, convened by the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and attended by top party leaders across the zone.

Despite earlier expectations that Hon. (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE) would be officially announced as the party’s consensus flag bearer, the meeting ended without a conclusive declaration on the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency ticket.

Sources close to the deliberations revealed that while consultations had progressed significantly, certain critical issues are still being resolved, necessitating further engagement among stakeholders before a final position can be made public.

As a result, the process has been declared inconclusive for now, leaving supporters and observers keenly awaiting the final outcome.
