Ona Ara Local Government under the leadership of Hon Musibau Adesina Sanusi (Shaba) today distributed relief materials to the people (households) and farmers affected by flood that occurred in the year 2022 at the council secretariat Akanran.
In his welcome address, the Executive Chairman of Ona-Ara Local Government Hon. Musibau Adesina Sanusi (Shaba) who was represented by the chief of staff the chairman Engr Ayo Falana thanks the Executive Governor of Oyo state Engr. Seyi Makinde for the recognition given to the council as one of the Local Governments in the state. He further enjoined the the beneficiaries to make proper use of the items given to them and also solicited for their support for the present administration to further deliver his campaign promises.
In her speech, the administrative secretary State Emergency Management Agency (SAMA) Mrs Busari Ojuolape also enjoined the beneficiaries to judiciously use the materials given to them. She further acknowledged the efforts the state governor Engr Seyi Makinde in making sure that the affected people are duly attended to.
Speaking at the event on behalf of the traditional council, the Oniladuntan of Laduntan His Royal Highness Oba Kamorudeen Adebowale lauds the the executive governor of Oyo State Engr Seyi Makinde for putting smile on the faces of the needy people and for his commitment to serve his people. Oniladuntan further commends Hon Shaba for for the recognition given to the traditional council in the local government and also for his vision to further develop the council by inviting foreign investors.
Dignitaries at the event are His Royal Highness Oba Kamorudeen Adebowale (Oniladuntan of Laduntan) His Royal Highness Oba Mudasiru Musa Omotosho(Alararo of Araromi), His Royal Highness Oba Nureni Yusuff(Alajia of Ajia) and many other traditional council members.
Others in attendance includes the chief of staff to the chairman Engr Ayo Falana, Head of Local Government Administration, Supervisory Councillor for women affairs and social welfare, Supervisory Councillor for Education Ali Omolara and other political functionaries.
Materials distributed today at the event includes Grinding machines Sewing machines, Food Stuffs, Mattresses, Crops(Maize and rice) with herbicides and pumping machine for the farmers for irrigation.
