In a symbolic and purposeful atmosphere, the Agbajowo Movement, a voluntary organization committed to advancing the cause of a greater Oyo State and resetting Nigeria, held its inaugural meeting for coordinators drawn from all 33 local government areas of Oyo State.
The meeting marked the official commencement of the organization’s activities ahead of the 2027 general elections and provided an opportunity to charge volunteers on key areas of focus and strategic priorities.
Speaking at the event, the Convener, Prince Adeyemo Adedeji Ola, who also serves as the Special Assistant to the Oyo State Governor on Political Matters, expressed appreciation to the coordinators and members of the organization for their unwavering support, commitment, and genuine love for His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde.
He noted that Governor Makinde’s commitment to the development of Oyo State, coupled with his emphasis on good governance, has been instrumental to the progress and achievements recorded in the state.
Adeyemo, however, stressed that the organization’s continued focus on Project-GSM remains its top priority. He explained that the project is aimed at mobilizing and delivering votes in line with Governor Seyi Makinde’s vision, from the state level to the federal level.
He further outlined several activities that would be activated across the state, including community outreaches, retreats, market storms, voters’ education, direct voter mobilisation and harvesting, media campaigns, and other strategic engagements.
According to him, all efforts are geared towards ensuring that the APM becomes the number-one choice of the good people of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
The Convener also charged the coordinators to return to their respective local government areas and engage critical stakeholders with the objective of mobilising substantial support and votes, irrespective of political affiliation or apolitical status.
He emphasized that the Agbajowo Movement is open to everyone who genuinely desires to work for the advancement of Governor Seyi Makinde’s vision and the wellbeing of the people of Oyo State and Nigeria at large.
“We are undeterred, dedicated, and committed to Project-GSM, a project centred around everything about GSM,” he stated.
