Political Momentum Builds in Akanran as Hon. Akingbala Muyiwa Declares Councillorship Bid, Promises Inclusiveness

Akanran, the headquarters of Ona-Ara Local Government, was agog today as members of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Ward 1, converged in a vibrant political atmosphere marked by enthusiasm, unity, and renewed hope for grassroots leadership.
The gathering, which drew party faithful, youths, and key stakeholders, was held in the presence of the Ward 1 Chairman, Chief Lukman Alawode, the Ward Secretary, Mrs. Adeola Omidiji, and the Youth Leader, Mr. Moshood Salami, alongside other prominent members of the ward.
The meeting took a dramatic and energetic turn when a frontline youth stakeholder, Hon. Akingbala Muyiwa, formally declared his intention to contest the Councillorship position of Ward 1, Akanran.
His declaration immediately sparked waves of excitement across the crowd as supporters erupted in chants of “Turning Point!” and “New Dawn!”—a slogan that quickly became the rallying cry of the moment, symbolizing what many described as a fresh chapter for effective grassroots representation in the ward.
Speaking at the event, party leaders commended the peaceful and well-organized atmosphere, describing Akanran Ward 1 as a stronghold of unity and political maturity within the Allied Peoples Movement. They further emphasized the importance of internal cohesion as the party prepares for the next phase of local government politics.
Hon. Akingbala Muyiwa, while addressing supporters, pledged to prioritize youth empowerment, community-driven development, and inclusive governance if given the mandate to serve. He described his ambition as a call to duty aimed at strengthening grassroots connection and improving the welfare of residents across Akanran Ward 1.
