……First female Coordinator inaugurated
The Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide YCYW Ona Ara chapter has elected her new executive to pilot the affairs of the association.
In a peaceful but competitive election held in February, the group elected a new leadership for the organisation following the expiration of the tenure of the Omoluabi Asuni Abdullahi led exco.
The election which commenced around 10:00 am was conducted by an electoral committee chaired by the state Director of Protocol, Omoluabi Oladimeji Ibrahim.
The election saw the emergence of the first female coordinator, Omidan Olajumoke Eniola, polled a total of 33 votes to defeat his closest rival who garnered 0 vote.
Others who emerged include; Deputy Coordinator, Dare Seyi Timilehin, Secretary, Akinkunmi Akintola, Assistant Secretary, Adeshina Yusuf Olaitan, Treasurer, Oladipupo Oyindamola Nasibat, Publicity Secretary, Onawale Olufunsho, Social Secretary, Lateef Taiwo Sofiyah, Treasurer, Oladipupo Oyindamola Nasibat, Welfare Director, Oguntimehin Adeola, Director of Training and Empowerment, Abdulroheem Abdulazeez Arisekola, Auditor, Ojewale Samson Adegboyega.

While congratulating the newly inaugurated excos of the association in Ona Ara Local Government, the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide YCYW Oyo State Chairman urged the elected persons to be a good ambassadors of Yorubaland and must posses a good character as they embark on their new responsibilities.

In his words; “As you embark on your new responsibilities, I wish to assure you all of my continued support and solidarity in the interest of our youths and for the development of Ona Ara Local Government at large.”
The YCYW State chairman urged them to allow the constitution of the association to guide their activities and urged the new coordinator to carry all members along.
Asoju Odo Alawode stressed that as leaders of YCYW in Ona Ara Local Government, they must endeavour to be diligent and show a sense of patriotism while piloting the affairs of the association in the interest of Youths and the good people of the Land, he concluded.
