American country singer Toby Keith Covel popularly known as Toby Keith has died at the age of 62 after a battle with stomach cancer.
A statement on his website and social media accounts confirmed that the singer dies on Monday night.
“Toby Keith passed peacefully last night on February 5th, surrounded by his family. He fought his fight with grace and courage. Please respect the privacy of his family at this time,” the statement reads.

The singer died 18 months after he revealed he had stomach cancer. The ‘Shock’n Y’all’ singer announced that he was living with cancer in June 2022 and in September 2023, spoke of the “roller coaster” experience of going through treatment.
“Last fall I was diagnosed with stomach cancer. I’ve spent the last 6 months receiving chemo, radiation and surgery. So far, so good. I need time to breathe, recover, and relax,” Keith, 60, tweeted.
“I am looking forward to spending this time with my family. But I will see the fans sooner than later. I can’t wait,” the singer tweeted, signing off with “T.”
