As the SAfER buses of the Omituntun 2.0 administration of His Excellency, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde progress in providing comfortable and affordable transport services to the Oyo State commuters, it apparently holds more promises as the Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Services boss, Hon. (Dr.) Dikko Salami, in an interview with Mayor Isaac Brown, yesterday on Fresh FM, made it known that the buses are soon transiting to digitalization.

The Chairman and Sole Administrator of the Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Services in the interview yesterday, made it known in response to callers’ complaints on ticketing problems, that already, there are 21 validators inputed in 21 buses, and that in the coming week, 50,000 tap cards will be distributed to commuters for free as a means of payment to board the Omituntun SAfER buses.

The Chairman also noted that the intracity operations of the buses will no longer be limited to Ibadan, as additional 6 buses will be deployed to other zones in the following week, for commuting within the zones.

He also added that, the SAfER scheme has not only contributed in easing the economic burden of the people via transportation as popularly noted by people, but has as well created more employment opportunities.

While there were more positive remarks and commendations from the public, there were positive criticisms which were immediately noted for improvement such as the increase of the number of the buses plying Moniya and prioritization of the physically challenged commuters in the State.

The Chairman however use the opportunity to also seek for the continuous support of the people for the Omituntun 2.0 administration of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, the SAfER scheme and the Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Services.
