Hon. Adejoke Adekanmbi-Akinseye Launches Free One-Month Skill Acquisition Training to Combat Unemployment
IBADAN – May 3, 2026 – In a decisive move to empower youths and women with practical, income-generating skills, Hon. Adejoke Adekanmbi-Akinseye (AAA), Founder of AAA Vocational Centre and aspirant for the House of Representatives (Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency), has announced a free one-month skill acquisition training programme for residents of the constituency and beyond.
The training is scheduled to hold from Monday, May 4, to Friday, May 29, 2026, at the AAA Vocational Centre, Ojagbo Road, close to St. Peter’s Church, Aremo.
According to a statement issued by her media office, the initiative is designed to provide hands-on vocational training across multiple high-demand fields, equipping participants with practical skills that can lead directly to self-employment and economic independence.
Courses Available
Participants can choose from the following skill tracks:
• Agric Produce
• Catering
• Animal Husbandry (Poultry, Snail, Fisheries, Goat)
• Hairdressing (Weaving, Single Plait) & Barbing
•Makeup & Gele
Registration Requirement
Interested individuals are required to attend the training venue with their National Identification Number (NIN) for proper documentation and registration.

Speaking on the initiative, Hon. Adekanmbi-Akinseye emphasized that skill acquisition remains a critical pathway to reducing unemployment and poverty.
“This programme is not about giving handouts. It is about providing real practical skills that people can use to support themselves, create jobs, and build sustainable livelihoods. We are investing in self-reliance, and this is only the beginning,” she said.
She further noted that the free training aligns with her broader vision of people-centred development, which includes free WAEC/NECO coaching and other educational interventions.
