The Oyo Central Senatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party PDP, has hailed the governor of Oyo state, Engr. Seyi Makinde for assenting to the bill upgrading the Emmanuel Alayande College of Education Oyo, to a University of Education.
In a statement signed by Mr. Omolere Omoetan Director of Media Ilaka Campaign Council and made available to newsmen in Ibadan, Ilaka noted that the Upgrade of the Emmanuel Alayande College of Education to a University Status gladdens the heart of every son and daughter of Oyo. While expressing his gratitude to governor Seyi Makinde, he assured him of the readiness and commitment of the good people of Oyo to do all necessary to ensure that the institution lives up to its new status.
Ilaka who was the former Chief of Staff to Engr. Seyi Makinde noted ” I appreciate your leadership style since you became the Executive governor of our Pacesetter state. Your achievements across the state is a testament to your commitment and dedication to the people of the state.”
The Oyo born politician further remarked “With immense gratitude, I wish to reiterate my heart-felt gratitude and sincere appreciation to my Governor, the Peoples governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde fnse, for his positive transformation of Oyo state and particularly Oyo Central Senatorial district with his assenting of the bill upgrading the Emmanuel Alayande College of Education to a full fledged University of Education.”
Ilaka stated that governor Seyi Makinde has demonstrated that when the right person rules the people rejoice. The people of Oyo are presently rejoicing and will be forever grateful to him over Emmanuel Alayande University of Education.
It will be recalled that members of the Oyo State House of Assembly had earlier passed the bill upgrading the Emmanuel Alanyade College of Education to a University into law.
