Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka has felicitated Muslims in Oyo state on the occasion of the Eid El Fitri celebrations in a statement from his media office Ilaka noted,
“As we celebrate the Eid El Fitri , I wish to felicitate with my Muslim brothers and sisters across the country, especially in Oyo state.
We thank Almighty Allah for the grace He gave us to successfully observe the Ramadan fast inspite of the various challenges we may have faced in the course of our everyday life and also for Allah’s grace as we experienced a very peaceful elections in Oyo state.
Also I want to specially express my heartfelt gratitude to all Islamic leaders in the state for their overwhelming support for Engr. Seyi Makinde in the recently concluded governorship elections. I pray that Allah rewards you all.
I admonish Muslims across the state not to let go of the lessons and piety that the month of Ramadan taught us, just as we continue to live our lives according to Sunnah of Allah through his prophet Mohammed (SWT).
We should be our brothers’ keeper and continue to observe the holy teachings of Prophet Mohammed (SWT) beyond the Ramadan fast.
I sincerely thank the Oyo state Muslim Ummah for the steadfastness in the support and prayers for the government of Oyo state led by His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde. This support is greatly appreciated. Please do not relent.
