BASA Congratulates PDP House of Assembly Candidates, Declares Support for Hazeem Gbolarumi Ahead of Oyo PDP Governorship Primary
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, Honourable Bolanle Aminat Sarumi Aliyu (BASA), has congratulated all PDP House of Assembly Aspirants who emerged victorious at the just concluded primary elections across the various State Constituencies in Oyo State, while also declaring her total support for the gubernatorial aspiration of former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Barrister Hazeem Gbolarumi, ahead of tomorrow’s PDP Governorship Primary Election.
In a statement made available to the press on Saturday through her Special Assistant on Media and Strategy, Seye Akanmu, BASA described the emergence of the successful House of Assembly candidates as a clear reflection of the confidence, trust, and belief reposed in their leadership capacities and dedication to the ideals of the Peoples Democratic Party.
She commended all aspirants for demonstrating maturity, resilience, and sportsmanship throughout the primary election process, while appreciating the immense contributions of party elders, leaders, stakeholders, executives at all levels, electoral officers, security agencies, INEC officials, party members, and supporters for ensuring a peaceful and credible exercise.
According to BASA, the PDP must remain united, focused, and committed to grassroots mobilization and reconciliation as preparations intensify toward the 2027 General Elections.
Speaking on the forthcoming governorship primary election, BASA officially endorsed Barrister Hazeem Gbolarumi, describing him as a seasoned administrator, grassroots mobiliser, party loyalist, and a unifying figure with the capacity to lead Oyo State to greater heights.
“His Excellency, Barrister Hazeem Gbolarumi, represents the kind of experienced and inclusive leadership Oyo State needs at this critical period. His commitment to party cohesion, governance, and grassroots politics remains exemplary. I am proud to align my structure and political vision with his gubernatorial aspiration,” BASA stated.
She further called on all PDP delegates, stakeholders, executives, party faithfuls, and supporters across Oyo State—particularly within the nine local government areas of Oyo South Senatorial District—to actively participate in tomorrow’s governorship primary election and overwhelmingly support Barrister Hazeem Gbolarumi.
“Our collective strength lies in unity, participation, and loyalty to the party. I urge all our delegates and supporters to come out en masse tomorrow and deliver a convincing mandate for Barrister Hazeem Gbolarumi. Together, we can build a stronger, more progressive, and united Oyo State,” she added.
BASA also extended appreciation to aspirants who did not emerge victorious during the House of Assembly primaries, encouraging them to remain committed to the party and continue contributing meaningfully to the collective success of the PDP.
Once again, Honourable BASA congratulates all victorious PDP House of Assembly Candidates and urges all party members to remain peaceful, steadfast, and united as the party takes another significant step toward victory in 2027.
