In an outright endorsement, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates for Oyo Central Senatorial district, Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka, , Oyo federal constituency, Hon. Mudashir Kamil Akinlabi, and Hon. Olorunpoto Rahamon State Assembly, continue to gather momentum in Oyo East Council area, as concerned residents of Araromi Community have thrown their weight behind the PDP candidates
The community members made the pledge at the popular Araromi market square in Oyo township yesterday, at a meeting coordinated by the highly respected Engr. Chief A.K Amodu (a.k.a Ahmak).
In his speech, the Araromi Community chairman Alhaji J.B Salaudeen, affirmed that Chief Bisi Ilaka and Hon Kamil have the full capacity to present bills that will attract developmental projects in Oyo if t elected come 25th of this month. He pledged the readiness of the community to vote in their numbers for all candidates of the PDP at the polls, including mobilising friends, youths, women, non-indigenes and in-laws who are registered voters in Araromi, Oyo East Ward 10, to vote for , Chief Bisi Ilaka, Kamil Akinlabi as well as Gov Seyi Makinde and the assembly candidate.
“We’ve seen the change, obstacles and economy melted APC promised us for good 8years, today, we as concerned residents of Araromi community declares support for the governor our national and state assembly candidates.
Also speaking at the meeting Engr. Chief A.K Amodu (a.k.a Ahmak) described all the PDP candidates as exceptionally qualified to represent the people of Oyo federal constituency, state assembly and Oyo Central senatorial district.
According to him; “I am not a member of PDP ever since my late friend regime Gov Alao-Akala till now, but these candidates are my trusted allies, men of integrity in all ramifications, their thoughts are about transforming our communal empire, empowering constituents, create opportunities for productive developmental projects”.
The executive chairman of Oyo East local government, Hon. Arowosaye Saheed Adeyemi (a.k.a. AROSAD) in his remarks assured the youths, women and non-indigene in the community that Chief Bisi Ilaka and Hon. Kamil Akinlabi will use the influence of the seat in the National Assembly to address the acute and perennial problems facing the constituency and to also, bring a new ideas that will transform Oyo Alaafin.
Hon. Mudashir Kamil Akinlabi applauded the community for the endorsement, stressing that it came at the right time, Hon. Kamil Akinlabi two-term lawmaker between 2007-2015, affirmed that he is in the race to present necessary bills and transform the constituents from poverty to prosperity.
He charged them to look critically at his track record as a former member of the Green Chamber, his performance the was topnotch which has become challenging for the current occupant.
“Your votes for PDP candidates from top to bottom will bring back normalcy, we will build on the solid structure of Gov Seyi Makinde governance is transforming Oyo township with the rebirth of Fashola farm estate, provision of quality roads, transforming our college of education to full fledged University, free education with provision of textbooks, Modern markets and lots more”.
Equally, Oyo born lawyer and tax consultant Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka, Oyo Central Senatorial Candidate commended the community for their consistency in their support for him since 2011.
He assured them of easy accessibility, as well as present bills that will focus on their needs. He urged them to vote en-mass for PDP.
