The Okanlomo Oodua and Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Balogun of Ibadanland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Tajudeen Abimbola Ajibola, and the Egbe Iyalode of Ibadanland over the death of Olori (Alhaja) Basirat Olaide Ajibola, the Aare Onibon Iyalode of Ibadanland and beloved wife of the monarch.
Chief Sanusi described the deceased’s passing as a painful loss, extending his sincere sympathies to Oba Ajibola, the immediate family, and members of the Egbe Iyalode of Ibadanland at this difficult time.
He prayed that Almighty Allah forgives the shortcomings of the deceased, accepts her good deeds, and grants her eternal rest in Aljanah Firdaus.
“My thoughts and prayers are with Kabiyesi, Oba Tajudeen Abimbola Ajibola, and the entire family during this period of profound grief. May Almighty Allah comfort you, strengthen you, and grant you the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” Chief Sanusi said.
He further prayed for Allah’s infinite mercy upon the departed soul, expressing hope that her cherished memories and legacy would continue to bring comfort to her loved ones.
Chief Sanusi also urged the bereaved family and the entire Ibadan traditional institution to take solace in the will of Almighty Allah, the giver and taker of life, who determines all things at His appointed time.
May Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings, illuminate her grave, and grant her Aljanah Firdaus. Ameen.
