It was a colourful and memorable celebration on Saturday August 29, 2026 as politicians and stakeholders across different political parties set aside party affiliations to celebrate renowned media practitioner and Publisher of 9ja News 24/7, Olusegun Christopher Taiwo, popularly known as OCAT, and his beautiful wife, Adeola, as they began their marital journey.

The wedding ceremony, which attracted dignitaries from across the political, media and social circles, was a remarkable display of unity, friendship and love, as personalities from the APC, ADC, APM, PDP and other groups gathered to honour the promising media guru.
Among the prominent personalities at the church service and reception held at the Pensioners Hall, Agbarigo, Ibadan, were the Oyo State APC Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Olawale Sadare; ADC State Secretary, Asiwaju Adekola Adeoye; Director-General of APM Women Campaign, Mrs Ramata Agberemi Dabo, popularly known as RAD of Hope; and the DG of the APM Youth Wing, Alhaji Kazeem Bolarinwa.
Others included members of the Ayekooto Sociopolitical Group (ASG), led by Hon. Yomi Olajide, popularly known as Royal Umbrella; a strong contender for the Onikoyi throne, Prince ‘Sola Kolawole; political functionaries and management staff of Ibadan North-West Local Government; Otunba Segun Adebanjo, SA, and his wife; as well as several representatives of the Oyo State Government.
Also present were the Oyo State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism; the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju; Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Asiwaju Akeem Olatunji; Commissioner for Culture, Dr Wasiu Olatunbosun; representatives of political leaders, media practitioners, members of the Guild of Online Publishers, NUJ members, community leaders, residents and numerous well-wishers.
The ceremony further witnessed the presence of PDP members from Oke-Ogun, APC faithful, APM supporters, members of the ADC, Ekotedo chiefs and residents, among many others who came together in celebration of OCAT and his bride.
The gathering was a testament to the goodwill and relationships OCAT has built over the years through his contributions to media practice and public engagement.
As OCAT officially becomes “Oko Iyawo Tuntun”, prayers and goodwill continue to pour in for the couple, with family, friends and associates wishing them a blessed union filled with love, peace, prosperity and the joy of parenthood.
