The race toward the 2027 general elections gathered fresh momentum on Wednesday as the TEAM ARAPAJA Ona-Ara Chapter held a high-profile endorsement meeting, bringing together influential political leaders, party stakeholders and grassroots mobilisers in a strong show of support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidates.

The strategic gathering was led by Hon. Oduola Olumide Sunday (ALAYÀKÍ ONA-ARA), former PDP Ona-Ara Chairmanship aspirant and former House of Assembly candidate, alongside Hon. Adetiminirin Motilade, former AD House of Assembly aspirant; Mrs. Adebunmi Omolara (Dollar), former PDP Ona-Ara Woman Leader and former Accord State Woman Leader; Elder G. A. Agboade, Elder Muritala Yusuf, Elder Ibrahim Mudasiru, Elder Gabriel Ajibode and other respected political stakeholders, all of whom pledged to intensify grassroots mobilisation across Ona-Ara ahead of the 2027 polls.
In a unanimous resolution, the meeting endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli for Governor of Oyo State, Senator Yunus Akintunde for another term representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Hon. Akin Alabi for the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency seat, and Hon. Funmi Obisesan for the Ona-Ara State Constituency seat, describing the endorsements as a strategic step toward consolidating progressive leadership in Oyo State and Nigeria.

Addressing participants, ALAYÀKÍ ONA-ARA said the endorsement reflected the growing confidence of the grassroots in the APC and President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He urged party members to remain united, strengthen mobilisation across all wards and convert the party’s growing momentum into decisive electoral victories in the 2027 general elections.

The meeting concluded with a unanimous commitment by stakeholders to deepen party unity, expand the APC’s grassroots support base and sustain aggressive political engagement across Ona-Ara. The gathering also reaffirmed the chapter’s determination to play a pivotal role in delivering victory for the APC and all its candidates, signaling that the countdown to the 2027 elections has entered a new phase.
