The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial Candidate for Oyo South Senatorial District, Hon. Bolanle Aminat Sarumi-Aliyu (BASA), has expressed heartfelt sympathy to traders and residents affected by the devastating fire outbreak at Bode Market, describing the incident as a painful tragedy that has left many hardworking families counting huge losses and facing an uncertain future.

In a statement released on Saturday, BASA said she was deeply saddened by the unfortunate incident, noting that the destruction of shops, goods, and means of livelihood represents years of hard work, sacrifice, and investment. She urged market leaders, traders, and relevant authorities to prioritise regular safety inspections, proper electrical installations, and emergency preparedness in order to minimise the occurrence of similar incidents in the future.
