The first phase is the uploading of the names of candidates for the National Assembly and Presidential elections, according to the timeline, political parties have up to July 7 to conclude the phase.

The PDP, which is fielding a former senator, Sandy Ojang Onor, as its presidential candidate, is also contesting senatorial and House of Representatives seats across the federation.

Candidates are also being fielded for the governorship seats in the states and the Houses of Assembly.

The National Publicity Secretary, Honourable Jungudo Haruna Mohammed, on Thursday confirmed that the exercise “has been going on smoothly.”
