APM Reps Candidate, OTOPE Welcomes June with Prayers for Abducted Students, Teachers, Urges Residents to Stand with Governor Makinde

As Nigerians usher in the month of June, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for the Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE), has called on citizens to embrace hope, unity, and prayers, while expressing deep concern over the abduction of students and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

In his New Month message, OTOPE thanked God for the gift of life and the privilege of witnessing another month, urging Nigerians to remain steadfast and optimistic despite the economic and security challenges confronting the nation.

According to him, June should be a period of renewed hope, fresh opportunities, and collective commitment toward building a safer and more prosperous society.

The Egbeda/Ona-Ara House of Representatives hopeful noted that while many are celebrating the commencement of a new month, the continued captivity of the abducted students and teachers remains a source of concern and sorrow to families and well-meaning Nigerians.

Describing the incident as painful and unfortunate, OTOPE called on security agencies and relevant authorities to intensify efforts toward securing the safe and unconditional release of the victims.

“While we welcome June with gratitude and hope, our hearts remain with the students and teachers who are still in captivity and with their families who are passing through difficult moments. My prayers are with them, and I strongly believe they will return home safely,” he said.

OTOPE stressed that the protection of lives and property, particularly those of schoolchildren and educators, must remain a top priority, noting that a safe and secure educational environment is vital for the future of the state and the nation.

He also urged residents of Oyo State to continue supporting ongoing efforts by Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration in tackling security challenges, while offering prayers for divine wisdom, strength, and success for the government in its pursuit of peace and safety across the state.

According to him, the fight against insecurity requires collective responsibility, cooperation from residents, and sustained support for government and security agencies.

The renowned philanthropist and founder of the OTOPE Foundation further encouraged citizens not to allow current challenges to weaken their faith in a better future, emphasizing that unity, compassion, and responsible leadership remain essential ingredients for progress and development.

OTOPE concluded by wishing the people of Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, Oyo State, and Nigerians at large a peaceful, productive, and prosperous month of June, while praying for the safe return of all abducted persons and continued peace across Oyo State and Nigeria.
