The Special Assistant to Ona-Ara Local Government, Aaré Alao Olalekan, has thrown his weight behind the recent political direction of Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, describing the emerging succession and representation choices as strategic, stable, and rooted in continuity of development across the state.
He stated this on Thursday morning while speaking with Egalitarian Voice Correspondent, Wisdom Darasimi, in Ibadan.
According to him, Governor Makinde’s endorsement of former Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, as his preferred successor reflects a deliberate commitment to competence, experience, and sustained progress in Oyo State governance.

He added that the choice of Dr. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE) as the candidate for Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency further demonstrates the governor’s confidence in grassroots-driven leadership and credible representation.
Aaré Alao Olalekan called on party members, supporters, and stakeholders across the state to remain united and fully align with the governor’s political direction, stressing that cohesion within the structure is key to consolidating past achievements and securing future gains.

Reaffirming his stance, he urged political actors and constituents to embrace peace, loyalty, and collective progress, noting that the current direction offers a stronger platform for effective governance and meaningful development across Oyo State.
