The Concerned Nigerian Youths for Good Governance (CNYGG) has passed a resounding vote of confidence in the Engr. Dr. Emeka Agbasi-led management of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), reaffirming its trust in the leadership’s vision, commitment to infrastructural renewal, and dedication to staff welfare in alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
This resolution followed a comprehensive appraisal of the Agency’s performance, particularly in the areas of road rehabilitation, institutional reforms, and youth inclusion initiatives. According to the group, FERMA under Engr. Dr. Agbasi has significantly improved operational efficiency while also creating meaningful opportunities for Nigerian youths across the country.
CNYGG particularly highlighted the remarkable level of direct and indirect job creation generated through ongoing road maintenance and rehabilitation projects nationwide. The group noted that thousands of youths have been gainfully engaged across project sites as engineers, technicians, artisans, equipment operators, and support personnel.
Beyond direct employment, the group stated that numerous indirect opportunities have emerged through supply chains, logistics, local contracting, and small-scale businesses supporting project execution. These interventions, it said, have positively impacted countless lives and communities, enabling many previously unemployed youths to acquire practical skills, earn sustainable incomes, and improve their standard of living.
The group further commended the management’s deliberate integration of youth empowerment into FERMA’s operational framework, describing it as a strategic and forward-looking step that aligns with national development priorities.

On staff welfare, CNYGG applauded the leadership for proactive policies, particularly the proposed Job Peculiar Allowance, aimed at significantly improving staff remuneration despite FERMA’s non-revenue-generating status. This, the group said, reflects uncommon sensitivity to workers’ welfare and institutional stability.
It also praised the sustained engagements with critical government institutions, including the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission and the Budget Office of the Federation, describing such efforts as evidence of proactive, result-driven, and people-oriented leadership.
“Engr. Dr. Emeka Agbasi has demonstrated exceptional capacity, compassion, and commitment in leadership. Beyond infrastructural improvements, his administration has created opportunities, restored hope, and positively transformed the lives of many Nigerian youths. This is highly commendable and deserving of national recognition,” the statement read.
CNYGG stressed that Dr. Agbasi’s leadership style clearly reflects the core ideals of the Renewed Hope Agenda, particularly in the areas of economic inclusion, job creation, and sustainable development. It therefore described him as a true ambassador and reliable agent of the Renewed Hope vision.
While expressing satisfaction with FERMA’s progress, the group encouraged the management to sustain the momentum, deepen youth-focused initiatives, and ensure the timely delivery of road projects across all geopolitical zones.

The group concluded by urging all relevant stakeholders to continue supporting the Agbasi-led administration, emphasizing that stability, continuity, and institutional support remain crucial to consolidating ongoing reforms and achieving lasting national impact.
CNYGG reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to promoting good governance, youth empowerment, and policies that drive national growth and sustainable development across Nigeria.
