“If I Make the Move…” – Wike Drops Bold Hint on 2027 Presidency

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has sent waves of speculation across the nation with a bold statement about a potential presidential bid.
Speaking during a media chat on Monday, the former Rivers State governor hinted that Nigerians could massively back him if he decides to contest for the country’s highest office.
“Nigerians still love me, and if I run for the presidential election, they will vote for me massively,” Wike said confidently, pointing to his popularity and achievements as both governor and FCT Minister as proof of his appeal.

He further insisted that his loyalists would continue to dominate politically, noting that even if the recent FCT council election were repeated, the outcome would remain unchanged in their favor.
Wike’s comments have reignited discussions about the 2027 presidential race, leaving many to wonder if a formal declaration could be on the horizon.
