Ibadan Hunger Walk 4.0 Distributes “Better Love with BOVAS” Boxes to Vulnerable Households
Ibadan, Oyo State [20/10/2025]
The Ibadan Hunger Walk 4.0 was successfully held with a purposeful walk from Molete Roundabout to Challenge, bringing together volunteers, media practitioners, community members, and partners to raise awareness about hunger while delivering direct food support to vulnerable households.
Ahead of the walk, the organizing team carried out a community inspection exercise across Popoyemoja, Bode, and Molete to identify households in genuine need. Beneficiary tags were issued to ensure transparency and accountability during food distribution.
On the day of the walk, food packages branded “Better Love with BOVAS” were distributed to identified beneficiaries along the route. The Boxes of Love were sponsored by BOVAS and Company Limited, whose support played a significant role in ensuring that families received timely and dignified assistance.

“Hunger is real and urgent. That is why we were intentional about identifying real needs and responding with dignity. Beyond the walk, we also used our media engagements as opportunities to support vulnerable people. We are grateful to BOVAS and Company Limited, our volunteers, and all our partners who made this possible,” he said.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the support received. Mrs. Alabi, a resident of Molete, described the intervention as timely and relieving. Mr. Idris from Popoyemoja noted that the support helped ease the burden of feeding his household, while Mrs. Sadia from Bode appreciated the respectful engagement and transparency of the process.

In the days leading up to the event, the organizers embarked on a media tour, including engagements with radio stations such as Dominion 106.1 FM, Adamimogo 105.1FM, to mobilize public support, encourage volunteering, and amplify conversations around hunger and food security.
While Ibadan Hunger Walk 4.0 recorded significant impact, the organizers emphasized that hunger remains an ongoing challenge. They called on corporate organizations, NGOs, government agencies, and individuals to support the frequent Food Comfortability Development Program and collaborate on sustainable food security initiatives.
Ibadan Hunger Walk 4.0 stands as a reminder that when advocacy is matched with action, communities can be served with compassion, accountability, and hope.
