The Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to attracting more investors to the state.
Governor Makinde, who spoke at a Hospitality Conference organized to mark the first anniversary of a popular hotel in the state, maintained that his administration would continue to sustain policies that encourage the growth of the hospitality sector and other businesses in Oyo State.
The Governor assured that his administration would continue to create an enabling environment for businesses in the state to thrive, despite the prevailing economic challenges in the country.
He explained that although his government remains open to local enterprises, adding that with the decision to upgrade the Ibadan Airport to international standards, investors will be attracted from across the globe.
The Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatubosun, who also spoke at the event, said the present administration has expanded the economy through tourism and solid mineral development.
The Commissioner further called on all stakeholders in tourism and the hospitality business, to continue to support the government.
