
The Nigerian Governors’ Forum, led by Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, yesterday 23rd April, 2025 has called for increased recruitment into security agencies, adoption of technology-driven solutions, and stronger collaboration with security agencies to combat rising insecurity, especially in Benue, Plateau, and Katsina states.
A key outcome of their meeting was the formation of a committee to implement a joint security strategy and the endorsement of a technology-based initiative by the Chief of Defence Staff aimed at improving surveillance and crisis management.

Additionally, the governors discussed land reform, electricity distribution improvements through private sector partnerships, and the potential establishment of state police, which was strongly advocated by Kaduna Governor Uba Sani.
