Hon. Chief (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE), who rushed down from Abuja because of the incidence has extended heartfelt condolences to Ona-Ara residents following the devastating building collapse at Jegede Area, Odugbede Street, Olorunsogo on Thursday, October 31st, 2024. He visited the scene on the late hours of Thursday evening.
“I’m deeply saddened by the loss of precious lives,” Dr. OTOPE said. “What am seeing here is devastating and my thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families and the entire Ona-Ara community.”
He added, “May Almighty God grant the families of the deceased fortitude to bear the loss and grant the wounded victims quick recovery. May we never witness such a tragedy again.”
Dr. OTOPE also commended the prompt response of Ona-Ara Local Government Chairman, Hon. Dr. Kolapo Temitope-Glorious, to the disaster.
“I applaud Hon. Dr. Kolapo Temitope-Glorious’s swift action and leadership in responding to this tragedy,” Dr. OTOPE said. “His dedication to the well-being of Ona-Ara residents is truly commendable.”
Dr. OTOPE who was in Abuja when the incidence happened rushed down to Ibadan to visit the scene and demonstrates solidarity with the affected families in the devastating incident.
